Historical Significance

There are various historical and mythological significance of this hill, primarily the  Lakshmi Narasimha Temple that is said to date many years ago. The Avalabetta hills are also known as the cow hill because it is said that during the Samudra Manthan, the animal landed on the hills and left its footprints. 

Distance from Bangalore and Reaching Time

Avalabetta hills is approximately 92 kilometers from Bangalore, making it an ideal one day trip near Bangalore.The journey usually takes 2 to 3 hours by road, depending on the traffic and starting point.  

Best Season and Time to Visit

The best season to visit Avalabetta hills is during the pleasant months from October to March. It is the best time for the Avalabetta trek, capturing beautiful views in the cool weather.
